Hexin Bi, MA, LPC 你好,希望我可以帮到你。Bi-lingual Individual and Group Psychotherapist

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

As a bilingual psychotherapist in Lakeview Chicago, I support teens and adults navigating anxiety, identity transitions, grief, burnout, and the challenges of living between cultures. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure of who you are, or trying to find where you belong, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out alone either.

I provide trauma-informed, culturally attuned therapy in both English and Mandarin for individuals experiencing academic pressure, relationship stress, neurodivergence, or the emotional weight of being first-generation or part of an immigrant family. My clients often describe feeling misunderstood, disconnected, or caught between competing expectations—and we work together to build clarity, self-trust, and confidence. As a bisexual Asian woman, deeply rooted in both Chinese and American cultures. This lived experience shapes my approach to therapy.  I hold space for the complexity of intersectional identities and help clients reclaim strength in their stories.

Whether you’re navigating coming out, cultural tension, neurodivergence, or chronic stress, I aim to meet you where you are—with empathy, warmth, and respect.

My approach blends effective, supportive and solution-focused methods such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT),Mindfulness rooted in Buddhist and Taoist traditions and Trauma-informed care. I have over 3 years of mental health experience and received a B.A. in Psychology  from Rutgers University  and a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University.

I currently offer virtual therapy and in-person sessions at our Lakeview office. I believe that healing doesn’t have to be clinical or cold—it can be collaborative, culturally grounded, and deeply human.
